Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
- 1 cup vegan mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme, and rosemary, chopped
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions:
Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water in a small bowl
Wait five minutes until it foams up
Put flour and salt in a large bowl and mix them together
Melt the vegan butter and add it to the yeast mixture
Mix until you get a dough
For about 5 minutes, knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and springy
Cover the dough with a clean towel and set it in a greased bowl
Let it rise in a warm place for an hour, or until it goes double in size
Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C
Spread the dough out on a floured surface and press it down
On top of the dough, spread out the vegan mozzarella cheese, fresh herbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and onion powder
Roll the dough into a tight log shape, starting at one end
Pinch the seams together to seal them
Put the 12 equal pieces of the log in a baking dish that has been greased
Wrap the rolls in a towel and let them rise for another half hour
After the oven is hot, bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown
Enjoy while still warm
