Chicken Parmigiana

With this Chicken Parmigiana recipe, you can make a slow cooker dish with classic Italian flavors that is easy to make and tastes great any day of the week. Breadcrumbs and Parmesan are used to coat tender chicken breasts, which are then slowly cooked in a tasty spaghetti sauce until they are just right. Its a hearty meal that the whole family will love, with gooey mozzarella cheese on top.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 jar 26 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

Break up the bread and Parmesan cheese in a bowl

Cover chicken breasts with bread crumbs after dipping them in an egg that has been beaten

Put chicken that has been coated in a slow cooker

Put spaghetti sauce on top of the chicken

Turn the heat down to low, cover, and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked

In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken
